SOCIAL SECURITY CALLER SCAM SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2026

LATEST SOCIAL SECURITY & MEDICARE FRAUD CALLS.  AS I WRITE THIS IN SEPTEMBER 2026, I HAVE RECEIVED 3 SCAM CALLS FROM THE SAME CALLER WITHIN 30 MINUTES.  BEWARE.  BE CAREFUL. 

 Be Aware!  The latest Social Security call scam is this:

You get a call (from what looks like a local number--it's fake-- and a recorded female voice says that if you have Medicare you are eligible for an extra payment of $250 this month. She asks you if you have both Medicare Parts A and B? 

 If you answer "Yes," she says, "Thanks, that's all I need to know.  My colleague will now speak with you to get your enrollment information."   PHONY. FAKE.  SCAM.  LIE.

A man with a heavy foreign accent comes on the phone. He confirms "You have both Medicare Parts A and B, correct?" You say "Yes," and he asks for your age. If you tell him your age, he will ask for more information...phishing to steal your SSN, Medicare Number, Date of Birth, Bank Information, etc.

Don't give him your age or any other personal information. Hang up immediately. The longer you talk the more danger you are in.  Hang up immediately to avoid the scam.  Do not give this criminal any personal information.

DO NOT SUPPLY THESE CRIMINALS WITH YOUR

  • Age
  • Date of Birth
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Social Security Number
  • Medicare Number
  • Bank information
  • Or Any Other Personal Information

These are 100 percent scam calls, recognized as such by Medicare and the Social Security Administration.  The caller is phishing for information so he can steal your identify and steal your money, or gain access to your accounts.  It is a dangerous call. The call most likely originates from outside the USA, probably from India.

If you have family members, loved ones or elderly friends--please warn them not to talk to these scammers / criminals.

Medicare and Social Security DO NOT give out extra bonuses or unexpected free money and they DO NOT call people asking personal questions. There is no Medicare bonus in 2026. Cost of Living Adjustments by Social Security are automatic and no one calls you for information.  THESE ARE ALWAYS SCAMS.

I am providing this warning because I know people who have lost savings and had their identify stolen by these criminals.  Don't fall for it.  Please help me warn people on Medicare or Social Security.   This can happen to YOU.
